donate
FREE HART accepts donations of clean, reusable art and craft supplies. Almost everyone has a bin of unwanted art supplies gathering dust in their basement. Whether it be from a project you’ve finished, a ridiculous amount of expensive supplies from college, or a sewing kit from a loved one, you’re not alone. Free your burden and donate them to us!
Please read our donation guidelines before donating, as the guidelines may change depending on our current inventory.
before you donate
Before you donate, please check that your items are clean and unbroken.
If you are donating yarn or embroidery floss, please try your best to untangle it.
Donations should be gently used, meaning they are in good shape and can be reused by someone else.
If you are unsure, feel free to email us or send us a text.

FAQ
Is this for kids?
FREE HART is for adults. We firmly believe that adults deserve creative space. We love to see folks connecting with their inner child when shopping for supplies in our space. We LOVE children AND we believe that adults deserve care and expressive freedom too.
Why don’t you accept construction paper and fabric scraps?
We used to accept these materials when we first opened and we received an overwhelming amount and no one was taking it when they shopped. We are committed to keeping items out of landfills, but with limited space, we need materials that are in high demand.
We can make referrals on where to bring items that we won’t take. Feel free to reach out to us via email if you’re looking for ideas on where to donate your items.

Do you host events/workshops?
Right now, we are re-evaluating the best use of our time as a 100% volunteer run organization.
With the help of generous funders, we hired 20 local artists to host workshops for over 200 people in 2023-2024. We hope to bring a new flavor to our workshops in 2025!
With your support we can keep that momentum going. Consider becoming a monthly member or making a one-time donation.
