How to make a supply donation

You can drop off your supply donation at our studio during our open hours. We are open on Sundays from 11 AM – 4PM. If you’ve never been here before, please check out the visit us page. Our building is large and confusing. There is only ONE door that will get you to us.

What kind of supplies do you accept for donation?

The list is long! High-quality and gently used are the only criteria for most supplies. It’s easier to share what we do not accept. See below:

What does “gently used” mean?

Anything in good enough shape to be used again by someone else.

We DO NOT accept the follow items:

Construction paper and fabric scraps (we do accept fabric by the yard)

Children’s art materials

Unfinished projects

Dried paint / dried paint brushes

“Found materials”

Why not?

We used to accept it when we first opened and we received a LOT, but no one was taking it when they shopped. Additonally, these materials are not inaccessible. We focus on high quality supplies; supplies that are prohibitive because they are expensive. These materials are very accessible.

FREE HART is for adults. We believe firmly that adults deserve creative space. We love to see folks connecting with their inner child when shopping for supplies in our space. We LOVE children AND we believe that adults deserve care and expressive freedom too.

We are committed keeping items out of landfills. Unfortunately, we don’t have space to take in everything. We can make referrals on where to bring items that we won’t take. Feel free to reach out to us via email.
